Congratulations to Terrell Suggs, #55, Outside Linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens, our BadaSSitude Pro Football Player of Week 12. Terrell Suggs is a BadaSS, period. But in Week 12, he reminded those of us who are routinely seduced by offensive statistics to take another look at the defense. We nominated Terrell for the BadaSSitude Pro Football Player of Week 12. And 26% of you agreed that he should be, narrowly edging out Beanie Wells of the Arizona Cardinals who also had a monster week, rushing for 228 yards on 23 carries.
The 29 year old Terrell Raymonn Suggs, also known as Terrell “Sizzle” Suggs was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He went to high school in Arizona, where he became the Parade All-American in 2000, Gatorade Arizona Player of the Year, the No. 1 jumbo athlete in the nation by SuperPrep Magazine, Arizona Player of the Year by USA Today as well as an All-American by USA Today and the 60th-best player in the nation by Sporting News, also lettering in basketball and track. Terrell played his college football at Arizona State where are a junior, he set an NCAA single-season record with 24 sacks.
The Baltimore Ravens selected Terrell Suggs with the 10th overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft. He immediately became an impact player in one the toughest defenses in the NFL. Terrell’s career numbers since becoming a Baltimore Raven have been nothing short of impressive, ringing in 392 tackles, 77.5 forced fumbles, 7 interceptions and 2 touchdowns. Already in this 2011 season, Terrell has registered 49 tackles, 9 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions.
In Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers, Terrell Suggs was a bona fide BadaSS. In the 16 – 6 win over the San Francisco 49ers, Terrell Suggs recorded 3 sacks for 20 sack yards, 3 quarterback hits, 3 tackles and 1 forced fumble.
