Week seven of the NFL looks to be a great week featuring four teams starting a new quarterback: the Raiders, the Broncos, the Vikings, and Redskins. The Texans have an opportunity to pull away from the Titans in their division this weekend. The Packers look to improve to 7-0, and the Lions look to bounce back against the Falcons. Can Mendenhall pickup where he left off against the Cardinals? Can Tebow lead the Broncos to a win in Miami? These questions will be answered this Sunday. So with all of these great games, which ones should you consider watching this week?
One game you need to watch will be the Chargers vs the Jets. The Jets are in a must win game in order to keep up with the Bills and the Patriots, who are both in the same division with the Jets. New York coach, Rex Ryan, has decided to go with Tomlinson as their starting running back, probably to allow him to play against his former team. Rivers may get Gates back this week, which will definitely help in the passing game. Rivers threw for a season low 250 yards, so he will be welcoming Gates back with open arms, if he is able to start. This should be a close game and I predict the Jets will pull it out, winning 27-24.
Another game you don’t want to miss is the Lions vs the Falcons. The Lions have a chance to come out of this game with an impressive 6-1 record. The Falcons had a strong showing against the Panthers, beating them 31-17. The Lions have a hole at the running back position, due to Best being out with a concussion. The Lions are also still working on their run defense, which means Turner could have another big day. I say the Falcons go into Detroit and hand the Lions their second straight loss. The score: Falcons 31 Lions 21.
The Pakcers vs the Vikings is another game to watch this weekend. The Packers are on fire right now, and are the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL. The Vikings only have one win, and they are starting a new quarterback this week, so why is this game worth Watching? Well, I think the Vikings will give the Packers all they can handle. Also, if Peterson is able to run like he did against the Cardinals, the Vikings will upset the favored Packers. My bold, maybe even crazy, prediction is that the Vikings will hand the Packers their first loss of the year. The Vikings defense will step up and hold Rodgers and the Packers to 17 points. The final score will be Packers 17 Vikings 20.
